TFI Google Docs Migrator — Last updated: June 2026

TFI Google Docs Migrator is an internal tool operated by The Forge Initiative (TFI) to help current and former members transfer Google Drive files to TFI's organizational Google Workspace. This policy explains what data the tool accesses and how it is handled.

1. Who This Tool Is For

This tool is intended exclusively for individuals who have been asked by TFI to transfer organizational files stored in their personal Google accounts to TFI's Shared Drives.

2. What We Access

When you authorize this tool via Google OAuth, it requests access to your Google Drive (drive scope) in order to:

• List files and folders within a specific TFI-designated folder that you own.
• Transfer ownership of those files to a designated TFI Google Workspace account.

The tool does not read, copy, download, or store the contents of your files. It only changes the ownership metadata on files within the scope of the designated folder.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not access files outside the designated TFI folder.
• We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to any third party.
• We do not retain your OAuth access token after your session ends.
• We do not use your data for advertising or analytics.

4. Google API Services

This tool uses the Google Drive API. Your use of Google services is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy. TFI Google Docs Migrator's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Retention

This tool is entirely client-side. No data is sent to or stored on TFI servers by this application. Google Drive ownership transfer actions are performed directly via the Google API and governed by Google's own data retention policies.
